'Stars, Stunts and Stories:' Hollywood stuntman got his start at Knott's Berry Farm

Remember that classic, albeit gory scene in the gangster film “Casino” when consummate movie wise guy Joe Pesci squeezes that guy’s head in a vise?

Carl Ciarfalio was that guy.

As a veteran stuntman, Ciarfalio, 61, has been tossed off a cliff by Jeff Bridges, kicked in the gut by Chuck Norris, traded blows with Tom Cruise, shot by Robocop and choked by Clint Eastwood.

He’s been hit by cars, fallen off buildings and tumbled down staircases.

But before performing stunts for TV and films for more than 30 years, Ciarfalio was robbing stagecoaches and getting in shootouts at Knott’s Berry Farm.
